- Is astrology scientifically proven?
- No. We calculate planetary positions precisely, but astrological meanings are a symbolic tradition, not established science. We present readings as prompts for self-reflection, never as predictions.
- What do I need to calculate my chart?
- Your date of birth, the local time on your birth record if you know it, and the city of birth chosen from our list. We never ask for your current location.
- I don’t know my birth time. Is the chart still useful?
- Yes, with limits. We skip the Ascendant, Midheaven and houses, show both possible Moon signs if the Moon changed sign that day, and mark uncertain aspects. You can add the time later.
- Why did you ask me about a clock change?
- Some local times happened twice (when clocks were set back) or not at all (when they jumped forward). We ask instead of guessing because a one-hour error changes the Ascendant and houses.
- Which zodiac and houses do you use?
- Tropical zodiac and Whole Sign houses. See the methodology for orbs and rules.
- Is Today a sun-sign horoscope?
- No. It’s built from today’s transits to your own natal chart. On days without notable transits we say so.
- What does Premium cost?
- $9.99 billed every month or $59.99 billed once a year. It renews automatically until you cancel. There’s no free trial.
- How do I cancel?
- Go to Account → Subscription and choose “Manage or cancel subscription”. You keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for.
- Do you sell or share my birth data?
- No. Birth data is used only to calculate and show your charts. It is never sent to analytics or advertising platforms. See Privacy.
- Can I delete my data?
- Yes — Account → Privacy → Delete account permanently removes your account, birth data, charts and readings.
- Is there an app?
- Alcyona works in your browser on any device, and you can add it to your home screen. Native iOS/Android apps are not available yet.
